Technology Definition Package

Conveys the Design While Protecting the Client's IP

CCTI offers a technology definition package when a technology owner is building a new plant or licensing technology to others. Working with the technology owner, we tailor the package content so that the key elements of the technology are conveyed to the Engineering, Procurement, and Construction (EPC) contractor while protecting the owner’s intellectual property.

CCTI can provide this service because we are experienced not only in process development but also in the work systems of large EPC contractors.  The technology package clearly defines the technical scope of work for the EPC contractor, resulting in greater overall efficiency.

Unlike a relatively standardized Basic Engineering Package, the level of detail in a technology package differs project by project.  Units well within the design capabilities of the EPC are more broadly described, while those containing subtle design parameters are described in greater detail. The technology definition package becomes a pre-FEED or pre-BEP package.

The technology definition includes deliverables such as:

  • Physical Property Compilation
  • Process Description
  • Critical Operating Conditions
  • Process Flow Diagrams
  • Design Basis
  • Design Guidelines
  • Critical Equipment Process Specification
  • Critical Equipment Mechanical Design
