CCTI has developed a fluid bed reactor based polysilicon production process for a leading technology and equipment supplier in the polysilicon industry. 

The technology has been successfully commercialized in several facilities that are currently operating above the industry standards for reactor conversion, while a number of additional plants are in the construction and design phases. Throughout all subsequent projects, CCTI has continually improved upon the design of the production process,yielding improvements in cost, energy efficiency, and waste reduction.

Polycrystalline silicon, or polysilicon, is a key component of solar panel construction. Growth of the photovoltaic solar industry is limited by the supply of the polysilicon material. Photovoltaic production has been increasing by an average of more than 20 percent each year since 2002, making it the world’s fastest-growing energy technology.
